Howdy from a typical August here in Texas. Dry and hot. A few flowers and tomatoes are miraculously hanging on in the garden, the chickens have just about given up laying eggs and I don’t blame them. I always feel a little tired and burned out this time of year myself. Here’s hoping when I write to you next month there will be cooler temps on the horizon. Of course, cooler doesn’t mean cool, just not quite so hot. Cool won’t happen until October or maybe even November if things play out like last year. To be honest, this summer has been one of the more bearable ones in recent history, and I am grateful for that.
But I still can’t wait for fall.
