Driveway Market This Saturday!

The kids and I are working hard to finish up our projects for our Christmas sale this Saturday! The girls are busy sewing, painting, and packaging, and John Mark is getting ready to bake lots of fun Christmas treats! We hope you will come and enjoy free hot chocolate and coffee, make your own Christmas craft, and take pictures in Lily’s photo booth! The kids will be selling their Christmas creations and I will have my engraved gifts and hand printed items available as well!

I have been developing this recipe since I was about 15 years old, and they really are incredible. The rolls are huge! 4-5 inches wide and about 2 inches tall. And don’t worry – they come with plenty of icing!

Christmas Prints!

Last year, I started a new Christmas tradition that I am really enjoying! I was inspired by Harlan Hubbard, a printmaker who made beautiful woodcut prints and created a Christmas card each year to send to friends and family from 1931-1987. Last year, I designed a card which features my own fireplace, all decked out in Christmas cheer and printed in a deep red. I just finished this year’s design and have decided to offer both prints on my website in case you would like a print to frame or send! A New Print Joins the Georgetown Collection

McIntire’s Garden Center is one of my favorite spots in Georgetown. I often go there just to enjoy being surrounded by so much life and beauty! There are little treasures tucked away in every corner so it was impossible to choose just one view for this print. And though I do love the simple black and white print, I couldn’t resist adding some color with watercolor paints! Both versions of the print are available now!

Small Works Exhibit

I’m excited to have one of my pieces exhibited at the Georgetown Art Center in their ‘Small Works’ exhibit from November 21-January 3! Last year, I was delighted to win Best in Show with my piece, ‘Valiant’. This year, my 309 Coffee print will be shown. The exhibit features artwork from local and regional artists in a diverse array of styles and mediums. Try to see the show early so you can view everything before pieces start to sell! Workshop Recap

My last workshop of the year was a fun one! My students learned how to carve their own mini stamps to print on notebooks or use for scrapbooking, card making and more!
