My First Solo Exhibition!

Merry Christmas!

I hope you are enjoying some slow and cozy moments in between the end of year busyness! I have been trying to take some time away from work here and there to watch The Great British Baking Show with the kids, make handmade decorations, finish shopping, and wrap all the gifts! I always feel so inspired to create at Christmas time and the kids have been making things too! Lily is writing a book, John Mark has been experimenting in the kitchen, Brooke and Amber have been making ornaments and working on a Christmas puzzle. I love seeing them be creative and watching their skills grow!

Thank you all for coming out to support us at our Driveway Market last month! Every year I feel so much love from this community as you help me teach my kids about entrepreneurship!

The library is hosting a reception on January 9th from 4-6pm with refreshments (I’ve heard there will be lemon bars!) and I’ll be there to answer questions about the artwork. So come say hi!

My First Solo Exhibition!

I’m so excited to share that my very first solo exhibition is coming up at the Georgetown Public Library from January 6th – February 15th in the Little Lemon Cafe area!

My collection of linocut artwork celebrates the small businesses, restaurants, and historic buildings that give Georgetown its heart and soul. Linocut printmaking is a deliberately slow, entirely handmade process: each image is carved by hand into a linoleum block, inked, and pressed onto paper—one original print at a time. The collection features community places of work and celebration – places that are full of our memories. Honoring them with this unhurried, thoughtful craftsmanship feels exactly right. I’ve been building this collection piece by piece over the past year and I can’t wait to see it all come together!

As I prepare for my exhibit, I’m finishing up a few prints including this one that features Southwestern University!

Southwestern University – Hand Carved Linocut Print

Southwestern University in Georgetown was the very first college established in Texas. This print features the Cullen Building which was built in 1898 in the Romanesque style of southern France. It is a beautiful building, and you really do feel like you’ve stumbled upon Europe when visiting the campus! I hope current students, staff, and alumni will enjoy this print as it takes them back to great memories of their time at Southwestern! I loved creating this piece – it was especially fun to carve the detailed tower and dynamic Texas clouds!

Last opportunity to shop local for Christmas!

I’ll be at 309 Coffee this Saturday, December 20th, from 9am-1pm. Come grab a last minute gift or stocking stuffer! I’ll have prints, postcards, hand-stamped mini notebooks, stickers, engraved charcuterie boards and more!

Private workshops

I recently had the privilege of teaching a homeschool group how to print on tea towels for their fundraising project! The kids had a great time designing their Christmas towels and I heard they were a very popular item at their sale!

Roadrunner Charcuterie Board

If your New Year’s resolution is to keep microplastics out of your meals, this is the board for you! Use the back for chopping, serve charcuterie alongside the cute roadrunner design and display it on your counter for maximum use and enjoyment! There you go – that’s my try at marketing! 😉

As the year comes to an end, I just want to say again how grateful I am for each of you and the many ways you show up to support me and my kids! I have loved making personalized gifts for you, hearing about your special memories of places featured in my artwork, and teaching many of you how to create your own prints! It’s been a fun year with lots of new adventures for my business and I’m looking forward to seeing where 2026 takes me! This business would just be a hobby if not for your encouragement and purchases. It’s because of you all that I get to be home with my kids and do something I truly love! Thank you!
