The artwork for this postcard is a print of a 6 layer reduction linocut I printed for our local Red Poppy Festival held annually in Georgetown, Texas! The original artwork titled “Valiant” took a month to create and won a contest to be displayed around the Georgetown square during the festival! The artwork has won the top prize in two local contests: The Red Poppy Festival Poster Artwork Contest in November 2023 & Best in Show in the Small Works exhibit at the Georgetown Art Center in 2024.
